Reprise Raised $17 Million in Series A Round

  • Bain Capital Ventures led this round of funding.
  • Reprise will use the funds to expand its services and staff.
  • It provides sales and marketing teams with the first no-code platform.

Reprise is an enterprise sales and marketing team tech demo platform. Today reported that it raised $17 million in a Series A round led by Bain Capital Ventures. Reprise says the funds will be put towards expanding its website and recruiting new staff. It is following a $3 million seed investment. There is a crucial need for full-featured and dynamic product demonstrations as businesses use their products as the primary tool for attracting new customers. According to Animoto, 73 percent more website users who watch product videos make a purchase. But it can be difficult to build demos customized to a particular client or industry.

Reprise has emerged from stealth last November in Boston, Massachusetts. It enables customers to catch the frontend of their software app, change it as needed. Also, host it as a functional experience for their prospects. For sales calls or for building an embedded self-service demo on a website, revenue teams may use this. With Reprise, when defining and removing proprietary names to create a demo dataset, users can catch and edit animations and interactivity in single-page applications. They can also highlight characteristics and create sequential self-guided tours, as well as introduce multi-team, role-specific access controls designed to avoid unauthorized changes.

First no-code platform

Reprise provides sales and marketing teams with the first no-code platform to build personalized product demonstrations. There is a crucial need for full-featured and interactive product demonstrations in an age of product-led growth, where tech companies use their product as the main tool to acquire customers. But it is fundamentally challenging and tedious to manage to build demonstrations customized to a particular consumer or industry vertical. Tech firms are forced to use canned slideware or videos or, worse, to explain on a demo the data of other consumers. With Reprise, without writing any code, teams such as sales and marketing can easily build and customize interactive demos customized to a particular company or segment.

There’s also an obvious benefit from results and analytics. Reprise clients such as Pendo, Gainsight, and Medallia will see where prospective buyers are concentrating or sharing their attention with others. Besides, when compiled and hosted on the company’s content delivery network. Reprise says its application can load pages 10 times faster than production apps.

Bain Capital Ventures partner Ajay Agarwal, an investor and new member of the board of directors of Reprise. The challenge of producing a functional software prototype was an issue that encountered first-hand running a broad go-to-market team at Trilogy in the 1990s, and I have not seen a solution until now. “I knew this was the future as soon as I saw the Reprise solution. Combined with a world-class founding team, the beauty and strength of Reprise technology compelled us to step quickly to invest. Bain Capital Ventures, with the involvement of established investors Glasswing Ventures and Accomplice VC, led Reprise’s new funding round. It takes the total raised by the company to over $20 million.
