The 2025 Reprise Product Momentum Report

Solutions Engineering teams are managing a constant deficit. There’s an enormous demand for demos, but every hour of an SE’s time is precious.
SEs can’t spend their time keeping dates fresh in a demo environment or demoing to unqualified prospects. They weren’t hired to manually refresh demo data or constantly fix broken demo environments either. Yet, that’s often where the week goes for an SE.
That’s why capacity was the theme of this year’s product updates at Reprise. We focused on stripping away the manual “maintenance tax” of demo environments so your SEs can get back to solutioning.
Here’s how we organized our roadmap to solve the bottleneck in 2025.
1. AI & Automation (Killing the Grunt Work)
AI shouldn’t be running deep-dive demos or building complex POCs. But it can handle the tedious demo tasks that burn out your team. That’s why we doubled down on AI in 2025 with significant updates:
- Agentic Demo Builder: Our new AI agents automatically detect technical blockers — like expired tokens or broken requests — and fix them. It turns a potentially brittle capture into a stable environment without your SEs doing manual configuration.
- AI Dataset Assistant: Customizing data for a vertical used to require hours of manual work. Now, you can create new verticals, add images, anonymize PII, and generate realistic data across an entire dataset instantly with a simple AI prompt.
- AI Translation Assistant: If you support global teams, you know the pain of maintaining localized versions of the same demo. We added prompt-based translation for both screens and guide text. One asset, many languages.
- Auto-Linking: Our new “continuous capture” mode automatically links screens as you click through your demo flow. Start editing and giving demos faster, without the manual work.
2. Application Cloning (Faster Captures, Easier Updates)
When it comes to demos, product updates are a constant headache, but also a huge opportunity. You want to sell the latest and greatest without breaking the demo, and without a huge lift. We rebuilt our core engine to make capturing deeper (so things just work out of the box) and updating easier (so you can recapture in just a few clicks).
- The New Extension: We overhauled the capture method. It’s faster, smoother, and gives you real-time visibility into exactly what web requests are being captured.
- Smarter Recapturing: When you need to update a demo, the system now auto-replaces snippets. You don’t have to rebuild the logic from scratch just because your app was updated.
- Seamless Data Injection: You can now inject datasets directly in the Replicate editor without needing an extension. It removes a layer of friction so you can do everything from one screen.
- Image Replacement & Hide Elements: We added context menus to swap images or hide distracting elements instantly. No code required.
3. Desktop, Mobile, & Multimedia (Beyond the Browser)
Your product isn’t just a web app. But historically, demoing mobile or desktop applications meant risky live-sharing or static slides. We fixed that.
- Full Mobile & Desktop Support: You can now scale screen captures for mobile or tablet views and build demos using only desktop captures. The “web-only” limitation is gone.
- Video & Audio Embeds: Sometimes a video explains a concept better than a click. You can now embed videos directly into screens or guides without touching HTML. We also added audio support to guides — perfect for narration in leave-behinds or product tours.
- Autoscroll: Automatic scrolling makes the demo feel like a live driver is behind the wheel, not a static recording.
4. Customization (Pixel-Perfect and Realistic)
You need to show your demo in the best possible light — every time. We gave you the tools to make these environments behave like production (or better) and showcase the right things. These power tools are what set Reprise apart.
- Date Variables: Nothing kills credibility like demoing dates from 2021. You can now use variables to make dates dynamic, for instance displaying the viewer’s current local time or a relative date (e.g., ‘Today + 7 days’).
- Full HTML & CSS Control: Power users can now get fully under the hood. You can edit the entire HTML tree, copy/paste nodes, and apply full CSS control over guide themes.
- Advanced Interactivity: We opened up custom JavaScript. You can now script drag-and-drop interactions, complex animations, or custom hovers. If the real app does it, the demo can do it.
5. Governance & Workflow (Protecting the Assets)
Scalability breaks down without control. If every rep creates their own version of the truth, or if a junior SE deletes a folder by accident, you have a problem. We strengthened the admin controls to match enterprise needs.
- RBAC & Snippet Permissions: We introduced granular controls. You can now restrict who can edit global snippets. This helps prevent mistakes and improves overall governance and control.
- Account-Level Folder Permissions: Keep your workspace organized by deciding who creates, edits, or deletes content at the folder level.
- Auto-Backups & Versioning: We now have automatic backups and manual versioning, so if you make a mistake, you can roll back instantly.
- Performance: Don’t let long demos slow you down. We’ve significantly reduced load times through a series of performance upgrades aimed at particularly large demos and demo libraries.
The Bottom Line
This past year was about proving the value of Agentic AI when it comes to demo creation. Our goal was to automate the setup and maintenance so your SEs can function like consultants rather than mechanics. We built the infrastructure so you can focus on driving revenue.
